Mission Statement:

The Chapter is dedicated to improving the physical, mental and social health of all Arizona’s children. To accomplish this mission, the purpose of the Chapter shall be:

  1. To support its members in advocating and caring for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
  2. To unite pediatricians in collaboration with other health care providers and agencies advocating and caring for children in support of policies and practices that benefit children.
  3. To address the economic, social, educational, political and medical issues that affect the health and well-being of children in Arizona.
  4. To ensure that decision-making affecting the health and well-being of children and their families is based upon the needs of those children and families.
  5. To prepare and recommend necessary changes in existing or contemplated medical programs.
  6. To support the professional satisfaction and personal growth of its members.
  7. To further the policies and objectives of the American Academy of Pediatrics at the local level.
  8. To further the interest of Arizona pediatricians in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Through its efforts to accomplish its mission and fulfill its purpose, the Chapter seeks to be the most valuable professional organization to which Arizona pediatricians can belong.
